Daniel Vaisburd Williams is a Ph.D. student specializing in the histories of architecture and media in 20th-century Brazil. He holds a B.A. with honors in Art History from the University of Oregon, where he wrote his honors thesis, “Tropicalist Montage in Brazilian Architecture: Terra em Transe and the Elza Berquó House,” on the discourse between architecture and film in 1960s Brazil. He has held positions at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center, and at the Hollywood Theatre/Movie Madness University, where he taught courses on film through the lens of art and architectural history.
