Dylan Sherman

Dylan Sherman is a second year MODA student studying time-based art and queer culture. His master's thesis focuses on Charles Atlas's collaborations with performance artists in the 1990s. 

Dylan is currently the Assistant Curator of the 2026 Prelude Festival at CUNY's Martin E. Segal Theatre Center. He has also recently held curatorial and production positions at the Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven, the Netherlands), Sugar Sugar! (New York), Performa (New York), Slash (San Francisco), and the Performance Talks podcast. His writing has appeared in publications including e-flux, The Brooklyn Rail, Motor Dance Journal, and Platform: Journal of Theatre and Performing Arts. 

Dylan received his B.A. with Honors from Stanford University, where he studied Art History and Dance and received the Christopher Meyer Prize in Art History and the Department of Theater and Performance Studies Award for Contribution to Dance.
