Marjorie Kreynin is an MA student studying Renaissance and Baroque art. She is specifically interested in Spanish and Italian art and the influence of Middle Eastern art and culture on Western art. Having graduated from Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Art History, Marjorie is also interested in how exploration outside of Europe led to the formation of the global art market during the Renaissance and Baroque periods. For the past two years, she has worked in a gallery in New York City that specializes in Contemporary Latin American art, where she conducts research on how earlier artistic productions influence contemporary artwork.
