Pujan Karambeigi’s research focuses on how painting was enlisted in the project of economic development between the 1950s and 1970s. His research has been supported by the DAAD and the German National Merit Foundation. He was the Frieda B. and Milton F. Rosenthal Art History Fellow 2022/23 as well as the 2018/2019 Miriam & Ira D. Wallach Curatorial Fellow where he organized Alice Creischer’s first solo exhibition in North America. He is an editorial contributor at Jacobin Magazine and his writing has been published by ARTMargins, Art in America, Artforum, Texte zur Kunst, Mousse magazine, and Frieze, among others.
