Summer Park
Summer (Jimin) Park is a second-year M.A. student in Modern and Contemporary Art: Critical and Curatorial Studies (MODA). She is the 2026 MODA Curates Fellow and is currently working for the exhibition Skins, Not Our Own, opening at the Wallach Art Gallery in Spring 2026. The show brings together Heidi Bucher, Rebecca Horn, and Kimsooja to explore how the body’s surface can be peeled, extended, and imprinted into forms that can be encountered from without.
Her writing has appeared in W Korea, Marie Claire Korea, and Hanwha LIFEPLUS ART. She was interviewed in Allure Korea as part of a feature on seven emerging voices in the Korean art world and contributed as one of five panelists to Monthly Art Korea’s special issue on “Trends in the Production and Consumption of Art Content.”
Summer graduated magna cum laude in Art History from Georgetown University in 2017. Before Columbia, she served as Associate Director of Public Relations at Kukje Gallery in Seoul. In 2022, she founded @crakti, a bilingual Instagram channel dedicated to sharing exhibitions and critical reflections from Seoul, New York, and beyond. Across her work—whether in curating, writing, or digital media—she seeks to open the conversation around art, translating complex ideas into language that feels alive and resonant to a broader public.
