Eleonora Pistis' book Architecture of Knowledge wins the prestigious 2025 Berger Prize

Eleonora Pistis, Associate Professor of Art History and Archaeology, is the winner of the 2025 Berger Prize, the leading book prize in the field of British art history. 

Her study—Architecture of Knowledge: Hawksmoor and Oxford (London/Turnhout: Harvey Miller Publishers, 2024)—has been defined by the Chair of the judging panel as “A rare example of true interdisciplinarity,” a one that “breaks new ground in the field of intellectual history as well as architectural history.
