Audrey Steinkamp (she/her) is a second-year MA student whose work focuses on 19th-century American paintings and decorative arts by women artists. Her research interests include the intersection of visual art and literature, the role of the environment in American painting, artist couples and their collaboration, and floral still-life across media. Her forthcoming thesis explores a collection of Tiffany stained-glass windows designed by Agnes F. Northrop and installed at the Bowne Street Community Church in Flushing, Queens.
In 2022 she earned her B.A. from Yale University with distinction in English and the History of Art and has previously held fellowships at the Yale University Art Gallery and Schoelkopf Gallery.
