Each year, a rising second-year student is appointed to the position, which they hold during their second and third academic years. The committee system maintains a two-person team with one second-year new to the lecture series complemented by a third-year with a year’s experience. One of the criteria for selection is attendance at lectures and associated events such as graduate conversations and dinners. While previous experience organizing similar events is also taken into account, previous experience running a lecture series is not necessary.
If you are a first-year student interested in applying for the student coordinator position, please email a statement of interest to [email protected] and [email protected] by January 31, 2024. Students whose research focuses on underrepresented fields in art history are strongly encouraged to apply.
